chairperson’s message
Dukhter Foundation was founded with the purpose of unleashing women’s potential, and advancing the evolution of women as leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and creators. Women empowerment is not about how many women have been or are Presidents, Prime Ministers or CEOs of companies.It is about how our society and the men in our society perceive and treat women at home and at public places and the respect that they have within their heart. It is about respecting a human being and not the gender.
Our vision of creating one of its own kind of ecosystem for women, where their skills and entrepreneurial qualities can be dug out and enhanced. Our aim is to start from Pakistan and slowly capture the global ecosystem.
At Dukhter Foundation, people are not beneficiaries, they are partners in development. Not only women’s but men’s full engagement is also essential if we are to make women’s empowerment and gender equality a priority.
We are building a global community and ecosystem of leaders, networks, companies, NGOs, and academic institutions around the shared mission of empowering women and girls to lead, create our future, and transform our world.
We seek to inspire transformation. For women and girls to achieve full potential, many parts of society must transform – individuals, corporations, institutions, communities, societies, systems. We do not seek to enforce transformation. We believe that sustainable transformation is inspired. I know that together, and with women and girls actively participating in creating the future, we can inspire transformation of our world and create a better future for humanity and our planet. We invite you to co-create great impact with us. Together we can face the future with confidence and optimism.
